Team Campout
8/21/18 – Leave Hellgate at 12:15pm
8/23/18 – Arrive back at Hellgate 2pm

Note:  Sophomores will do school registration at Hellgate with Juniors on the 20th at 1pm since they will be missing their scheduled registration date/time.

Every Hellgate runner is expected to attend the 2019 campout.  This is a great team building experience and a fun way to get to know each other.  We will spend the days running, eating, playing in the water, and sleeping.  Parents are welcome to come up to the camp and spend some time with the team.  On the night of the 22nd at 7pm we will have team skits and encourage parents to attend for some good laughs.

Expectations
We allow runners to bring cell phones for emergency reasons only.  If there is an emergency or questions we ask that parents call one of the coaches.  There are also no athlete cars or driving while at the campout.  We will be taking a school bus to and from the campout.

The camp is well supervised, with athlete’s sleeping in one area that will be supervised by the coaches.

We have limited room, you will need to be prepared, but pack smart.  We have listed what you will need.  Each athlete should only need a small bag in addition to his/her camping gear.  We are only there for a total of two days.

We will be providing all food.  You are welcome to bring a few snacks for yourself if you would like or if you have special diet requirements.

Directions to Campout

  • Go through Bonner to get on Highway 200.  Proceed along Highway 200 until you almost reach mile marker 31.
Note:  You have gone to far if you cross Clearwater River or reach Clearwater Junction (the bull)

  • Take a left onto Blanchard Creek road (dirt) and proceed about ½ mile until the road forks

  • Take the right hand fork (less traveled road) onto Lost Prairie Creek Road
Note:  You will immediately cross a cattle guard to access this less prominent dirt road

  • Proceed about 3.3 miles.  Look on the right side of the road for a “CAMP IMLU” sign sitting next to a closed state lands gate.  The cabin is behind this gate.

  • You will need to reach up under a sleeve to slip the lock(s) out in order to open the state lands gate.  (Please leave it as you find it!).
Note:  There is one obvious fork behind the gate – but stay to your right and go through the cattle gate (leave it closed because there are cows that love to come hang out). We are the only cabin.
